Early support makes a lasting difference. SB241 ensures students struggling with reading receive individualized reading plans tailored to their needs. USSA supports this proactive approach to helping every child succeed.

Nonpartisan school board elections allow communities to choose leaders based on experience, dedication, and commitment to students. HB256 would replace that community-centered approach with partisan elections that introduce political agendas into local education decisions. Schools should remain places where collaboration and student success come first—not party divisions.

School boards work best when they focus on student achievement, school safety, teacher support, and responsible use of taxpayer funds—not party politics. HB256 would require partisan school board elections, shifting focus away from students and toward political labels. Utah’s education system succeeds when leaders collaborate to solve problems, not campaign on ideology. Our students deserve governance that prioritizes learning above politics.
