
For this week’s #MeetTheSuperintendentMonday, we’re thrilled to introduce O'Dee Hansen, Superintendent of North Sanpete School District. Superintendent O'Dee Hansen was raised in Moroni, Utah. Superintendent Hansen earned his A.S. degree from Snow College, his B.S. degree (Major: Psychology, Minor: Spanish) from Weber State University, his M.S. degree in School Counseling from Utah State University, and finally his Administrative Endorsement from Southern Utah University. O’Dee Hansen started his educational career with North Sanpete High School as a school counselor. Later he would become the Assistant Principal of NSHS, Principal of NSMS, and Assistant Superintendent.
Superintendent Hansen’s favorite quote is “Good, better, best. Never let it rest. 'Til your good is better and your better is best.” wise words from St. Jerome. His favorite book is The Traveler's Gift by Andy Andrews.

For this week’s #MeetTheSuperintendentMonday, we’re thrilled to introduce Dr. Cade Douglas, Superintendent of Sevier School District. Superintendent Douglas was born and raised in Richfield, Utah. Superintendent Douglas has attended Snow College, Southern Utah University, and Northcentral University where he earned his Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Instructional and Curriculum Leadership.
Superintendent Douglas lives by the motto, “Public education is the great equalizer! Every kid is one caring adult away from becoming a success story!” Dr. Douglas’ favorite book series is The Great Brain Series by John D. Fitzgerald, a series introduced to him by his 5th grade teacher, Mr. D.
Superintendent Douglas was selected Utah’s 2024 Superintendent of the year by the Utah School Superintendents Association (USSA) and is a candidate for the National Superintendent of the Year Award by the American Association of School Administrations (AASA). AASA will announce the National Superintendent of the Year at its Annual Conference on Education in February 2025.

For this week’s #MeetTheSuperintendentMonday, we’re thrilled to introduce Wendy Dau, Superintendent of Provo School District. Superintendent Wendy Dau was raised in Bountiful, Utah. From a very young age, her dad emphasized to her the importance of obtaining as much education as possible. Superintendent Dau attended Brigham Young University where she received her bachelor’s degree in History and English. Superintendent Dau went on to receive multiple Master’s degrees from University of Utah in History as well as Educational Leadership and Policy. She is currently working towards her Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership and Policy, with research focused on the impact that positive relations superintendents and school boards can have on student outcomes.
Superintendent Dau’s favorite quote is “A leader takes people where they want to go. A great leader takes people where they don't necessarily want to go, but ought to be” wise words from Rosalynn Carter. Her favorite book is Team of Rivals by Doris Kearns Goodwin.

Superintendent Nielsen was born and raised in Spanish Fork, Utah, and attended Spanish Fork High School. Being Superintendent of Nebo School District for the past 14 years, where he received his K-12 education has been a full circle moment for him. Superintendent Nielsen is a proud alumni of Brigham Young University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership
Superintendent Nielsen lives by the motto, “Focus on Students” which drives his student centered approach to being a superintendent. His favorite book is A The Sneetches and Other Stories by Dr. Seuss.

For this week’s #MeetTheSuperintendentMonday, we’re thrilled to introduce Dr. Todd McKee, Superintendent of Cache County School District. Superintendent McKee was born and raised in Smithfield, Utah. Dr. McKee received his Doctoral degree from University of Oregon where he focused on the early identification of students at risk of dropping out of high school.
Superintendent McKee’s favorite quote is a Finnish phrase, "Läpi harmaan kiven.” The Finnish phrase läpi harmaan kiven translates to "through the gray stone". It's an unofficial slogan for the Finnish concept of sisu, which is a combination of traits like grit, perseverance, and determination. His favorite book is A Farewell to Arms by Ernest Hemingway.
